Since then, I've been looking for another dwarf hamster (I currently have two teddy bear hamsters, Doris and Heidi). Finally, on Sunday, I found one at our animal shelter. Our last two hamsters passed away in September and are now buried under some berry bushes. Our new Russian dwarf is named LOU!

Hummingbirds in Costa Rica Love the Rain

One of those darn fine places was the Catarata del Toro because as the rain strived to convert the surrounding air into a lake, we stayed completely sheltered and dry while being entertained by swarms of hummingbirds. Um, I guess at times it did but there were enough slow-downs in the rain for some darn fine birding indeed. A hundred?
