Many species seemed to come in threes, and today I shall continue my examination of these. Three species of antshrikes are resident in T&T. Once there is sufficient vegetation to support their voracious appetite, they shall be present. The male Barred Antshrike is often called “jailbird” for its stripes.

The Change in Seasons

Perhaps the fact that we really enjoy talking to each other had a slight negative impact on the number of species seen (“only” 52). Our first stop, at the reservoir surrounded by temperate thorn fores, a lone Least Grebe was present, as was a Belted Kingfisher whose presence I had predicted.
