Injured Salamander

Reddit Animals

Well, there was a spotted salamander in there and I accidentally hit his tail. I was getting my sprinklers set up, and when I opened up the pump box in the ground I used a rock to clear some debris. He had some blood come out, but it almost immediately stopped bleeding, although the outside blood remained. What is their capacity to heal?

Battle with a salamander ?

Reddit Animals

Turns out it’s a salamander. So I’ve been having what I thought was a battle with a prairie dog with a hole under my front walkway. I’d put rocks to block the hole. The next day they would be gone. For weeks this has been happening. Well I got home after work. I thought they stayed closer to water. Anyone know why ?
