A couple of years ago I wrote about whether it's a good use of my time to be a purist about the term "animal rights" when most of the world doesn't have the same understanding of the term as I do. would call HSUS an animal rights group (after all, HSUS doesn't even do that).

But there are animal rights activists in Mexico that will hopefully take notice and try to establish some kind of long-term and humane solution. The town has become so overrun with dogs, that the government began offering a tax exemption of $17 per stray that was offered for euthanasia. Sarcasm there of course.
