I know on some level, I think that’s something almost all of us can get behind…no one, except the most callous and cold-hearted of the human race things its fine to torture animals, or deny that they are capable of pain and suffering. This makes perfect sense. The logic of this is ridiculous.

I believe that we have to be inclusive in the animal rights movement and attack the system using all kinds of methods in all sorts of fields. You can exhort people to go vegan, but if only vegans have legitimacy in the movement, then it's condemned to a very, very small voice and limited short-term impact.

In contrast, abstract-rational entities, like personhood or rights, are not. I don't disagree with that, as most people are conformists.
