I spend plenty of time doing nonprofit work that is unrelated to animals and also doing for-profit work that is unrelated to animals. In other words, I don't immerse myself in animal cruelty. So I do what I can do, beginning of course with being vegan. Because I would have a breakdown. Spiritual beliefs?

Herzog states, “The awkward fact is that most wanton animal cruelty is not perpetrated by inherently bad kids but by normal children who will eventually grow up to be good citizens” (34). . Of course I was appalled, but out there in the mainstream world, she is an outlier. Of course that can be debated.

There's a stray dog problem in San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico. The solution? If you bring in the dog for euthanization, you get a tax exemption.hooray!

Today, we eat well over 220 pounds a year, and it’s not uncommon for many Americans to eat animal products at every single meal.

One suspects that the SPCA and the American Humane Society have done more to stop cruelty to animals than vegetarians ever could. That these organizations have not gone far enough and that wide areas of animal cruelty still exist does not show that their methods are wrong. Such a supposition seems ludicrous to me.
