Here's the email I got from ALDF. It sounds like they are calling for an animal abuse equivalent of the sex offender registry. Wouldn't you want to know if a violent or repeat animal abuser were living next door to you and your family? Keep your animals and your families safe. I think it's a great idea.

I recently got an email from the Animal Legal Defense Fund. They are pioneering legislation in California to make public animal abuse registries. Please take time to read it, and if you are in California, get in touch with your representative and encourage them to support this if you believe it’s a good thing.

From the better late then never category, the ALDF is having a National Justice for Animals Week to raise awareness about animal abuse. Adam was rescued by an 11-year-old boy who also later identified the girls who committed the crime, allowing them to be charged with felony animal cruelty.
