Best Bird of the Weekend (Second of July 2020)

Fortunately, there is whale-watching happening on the American Princess, out of Brooklyn, but spending lots of times in Queens waters. Sunday afternoon, Corey finally managed to connect with a Great Shearwater in Queens from the whale-watching boat, easily his Best Bird of the Weekend! How about you?

We also saw lots of dolphins in the ocean and Humpback Whale blow. Amazingly, our pelican ended up being the first of many seen in and around New York Harbor on the day, as seven were seen from a whale-watching boat and down in Staten Island they tallied double-digits!
