Then it’s a matter of doing a little research on the internet to find who rang the bird you saw, and then emailing the details of your sighting. I photographed the Black-tailed Godwit in my photograph ( above ) on 18 September 2020. In breeding plumage islandica godwits develop a deeper red plumage than their limosa cousins.

Poor researchers Nicola Coumi and Rob Slotow failed to find anything particularly interesting about vigilance in Bronze Mannikin groups. Mind you – it is indeed a description, not a video, as the research was done in 1952. My understanding is that since March 2020, the HBW is integrated into eBird ( source ).

Although Henslow’s had been reliably found in nearby Sharon Springs for many years, the last documented sighting was in 2008, and the sighting startled longtime birders, waking them up to the fact that breeding sites in the state were rapidly being lost. I like the journalistic flavor added by these interviews.

It does seem like the order is concurrent with the 61st Supplement, which came out in 2020, but Northwestern Crow is included as a full species. I am particularly happy to see that the bird communication section includes recent research on singing female birds. These are all informative and current.

The source of this ranking, BirdLife International, lists Bolivia as currently having 1,439 bird species, including 18 breeding endemics. Like most maps, colors are used to indicate seasonal status (breeding resident, Austral migrant/visitor, Boreal migrant, etc.). Distribution maps are also different from other field guides.
