Spoonbills nested in Britain for the first time for 300 years in 2010, when a small colony became established at Holkham in North Norfolk. A single Eleonora’s Falcon was a very pleasing if not unexpected, and a year-tick. These birds (usually juveniles) are clearly linked to the growing breeding population in the region.
