These chimps are currently at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s New Iberia Research Center. This is the same place that was nailed by a HumaneSociety undercover investigation. Videos showed mistreatment of the lab animals. just love the language used by the Research Center's spokesperson.
don't believe they are working for human welfare. believe they want to be gods in the laboratory. think they are clever cowards who use extremists to hide their work and to obfuscate the truth about what they do to animals and whether it is truly necessary. The other women wouldn't. I'm sorry, but I am not moved.
The video footage shows monkeys biting themselves and slamming against the bars of small cages. Other scenes show a newborn chimpanzee being taken from its mother and an adult screaming as a lab worker aims a tranquilizer gun before the animal falls sedated from a shelf to the floor. Here is a link to theHumaneSociety.
