On ANIMAL EQUALITY, by Joan Dunayer
I haven't examined each institutionalized use of animals the way that Dunayer has, with the possible exception of vivisection, and I learned a lot about the details of the language of each industry. By pairing humane with slaughter , legislators have sanctioned horrific cruelty and mass murder. Often it permanently disables or kills.

While this legislation would be an important step in transforming inhumane animal production, we must also call for change on the federal level, where the farm bill subsidizes this sector to the tune of billions of dollars. Sowing the Seeds of Veganism
Websites can be seeds if they don't promote animal products while saying animals aren't ours to use; I find that confusing. Possible segue into the tie to gaming that's artificial, but legislated, and needs to change. Doing it at the dog track when you don't believe in dog racing is supporting an industry you don't believe in.
