On Ducks and Geese
If you pay attention you realize who likes whom, who's a loner, where the nests are, and that, for instance, Muscovy ducks like those above have routines and rituals that involve seeking, pleasure, sun bathing, lots of grooming, and if they have a certain personality, a desire to connect with those around them, including humans.

To the Editor: Re “ Humanity Even for Nonhumans ,” by Nicholas D. If human beings were confined, mutilated and killed, would we call it “humane” if the cages were a few inches bigger, the knife sharper, the death faster? Animals rescued from so-called humane farming establishments have been found in horrific condition.

The One Animal Product You Should Feed Your Children
That animal product is human breast milk. Human breast milk is a near perfect food for human newborns and infants. Spock is not alone in his endorsement of breast-feeding human infants. There simply is no dispute in the medical community that human breast milk is the best food a human infant can be fed.
