Importance of vet care.
Hospitals accredited by AAHA – the only organization that accredits veterinary practices in the U.S. During these economic times, some pet owners are waiting longer than usual to schedule appointments with their veterinarian. But small health problems can escalate into larger issues that become more serious for the pet down the road.

Lessons Learned, The Finale
My random number of 20 Lessons Learned From 4 Years of Blogging at Animal Person (for the others go to #1-6 , #7-10 and #11 & 12 ) ends today with #13-20, which is far longer than I thought it would be. If I had it all to do again, I'd do a video blog and I'd get at least proficient at the technical aspects. Respect your blog.

Guest Post: Susan Wilson
feral kitten captured and neutered by a small non-profit, somewhat militant organization, was on display at our local Massachusetts Society Prevention of Cruelty Association branch, which often took these feral cats in the hope of finding homes for them. The work of shelters and breed rescue organizations is vital. Who’s Your Good Dog?

I found this very inspiring, and would have never have seen it if not for your blog, so thank you for that. What makes the site special is that a portion of every sale is donated to animal rights and rescue organizations. If the majority of your blog readers are animal lovers like me, then I know they’d love my site. Thank you!

On "Animal Activism"
With more than 2 million members across the globe, PETA is the largest animal advocacy group and comparable in size to the human rights organization, Amnesty International. Part of the reason my interest in blogging daily has waned is because of the infighting and mean-spiritedness that can be read. But I don't want to talk about PeTA.

Animal Rights Zone Launches Today
I'm excited to be a blogger for Animal Rights Zone because its target market is people who don't usually subscribe to blogs. Also, it has the added bonus of organizing my content better than I have. The number next to each changes with the popularity of the terms (for each blog). Today is the launch of. Project Treadstone.

Note to Those Wanting Promotion: Pay Attention
We bloggers often get e-mails from individuals and organizations in search of promotion. Having read your blogs I thought you might like to hear about Compassion in World Farming’s Bake with Compassion fundraising week. From the 6th -10th of July we are asking everyone to get their aprons on and bake with free-range or organic eggs.

My Uneventful 3rd Blogiversary
I was hoping to say that I have blogged every day for three years as of today, but sadly, and very frustratingly, the past couple of days I have been otherwise occupied. I'm in the position of having to build a website for a child welfare organization. Remember that this isn't a blog, but might include one. From scratch. Thanks.

It was the first lecture series of its kind in german speaking world organized by the members of the Interdisziplinäre Arbeitsgemeinschaft Tierethik (literally “Interdisciplinary Study Group on Animal Ethics”) – an initiative of students. Hello! The results of the lectures are written down in this book. We really appreciate it! Thanks a lot!
