Animals Have Personalities? No WAY!
This is great news for animal rights because it's one more piece of evidence that humans aren't as exceptional as we like to think we are. At least there is a similar response given by the scientists in this article who study animals. When I started blogging in May of 2006 I was very snarky. Snark defined blogging back then. Why "even?"

Good News for Greyhounds
Here are a couple recent bits of good news. There are people who care for the animals they use and trade, as the article shows. We who want humans to stop using sentient nonhumans have few victories to celebrate. But voters called and e-mailed and sent letters to their legislators making sure that the original decision was preserved !

CBS News Runs Series on Factory Farms
Here is an article about the series. This occurred a week or so ago. Katie Couric did a story on the use of antibiotics on factory farms in the US and the potential harm to humans. Unfortunately, I missed this series as we don't watch network television. friend of mine said it was quite good. But I'm glad they took the time to look at this.
