From the Portugal News Online. Portugal is NOT known for its kindness to animals so this is a significant development for a Portuguese city. Under Portuguese legislation, stray and unwanted animals that are kept in municipal kennels, even healthy ones, can be put down after eight days if unclaimed.

My Uneventful 3rd Blogiversary
The good news is that, including the kittens' mom, there are only four cats remaining at the site who need to be sterilized! Of course some of the original inhabitants migrated across the street to an abandoned building, and that's next. But we have made progress, and that's good news to me. From scratch. Thanks.

Why I'm Not Giving Up On Capitalism
